About the Nursing - RN Mobility Program at TROY

ÁùºÏ±¦µä offers excellent online RN Mobility tracks for RN students. These tracks are designed for online learning to meet the needs of Registered Nurses who are seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Convenient & Flexible

The online coursework in the RN Mobility program at TROY allows students who are managing work and family responsibilities the opportunity to complete educational assignments at a time that works for their unique schedules. Graduates will have the skills needed to provide enhanced patient care, critique and apply research to clinical practice, educate patients about various health conditions and serve as leaders in their field.

ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s School of Nursing has more than 50 years of educating nurses and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing. TROY’s nursing faculty members care about their students and provide excellent advanced coursework in health assessment, population health nursing, leadership and management, research and evidence and nursing informatics.

Application Deadlines

RN Mobility program admits students each fall and spring semesters
  • Deadline for fall admission is Aug 1st
  • Deadline for spring admission is Jan 1st
  • Earn your BSN degree in less than eight months
  • Full-time options (two semesters) or part-time options (four semesters)
  • Ability to take general study courses while completing the BSN program (excludes Flexible option)
  • Opportunity to take a graduate level course while finishing BSN program requirements (fall applicants only)
  • Ability to choose your clinical location, and the faculty comes to you in person or virtually

RN Mobility Options

• Two and four semester options
• Opportunity to take a master’s level course while finishing the BSN (speak with an advisor for additional information).
• Ability to choose preceptorship location 

FLEXIBLE OPTION
• Complete degree in 18 weeks
• Must have all general studies completed
• Must have one year in a leadership role as a Registered Nurse

What Can You Do with RN Mobility?

Nursing jobs for graduates with a RN Mobility degree span far and wide. Whether you want to work in obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, oncology, surgery, geriatrics, recovery room, critical care or other settings, this degree qualifies you to care for a range of patients. You’ll also be prepared to take on higher-level roles than allowed with an associate nursing degree.

Dr. Brittney Armstrong is an Associate Professor in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä School of Nursing. Her clinical focuses are in medical-surgical and critical care.
Dr. Katherine Leigh

Dr. Katherine Leigh

Dr. Katherine Leigh is an Associate Professor in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä School of Nursing. Her clinical focus is in hospice, and her research areas of interest are breast cancer, colorectal cancer and melanoma.

RN Mobility Program

You may enter the RN Mobility program at ÁùºÏ±¦µä with either an Associate in Nursing Degree or a diploma in nursing from an ACEN-, CCNE- or CNEA-accredited program. You must have a current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Alabama or the state where clinical preceptorship will occur. TROY is here to help you navigate your way into our RN Mobility program.

Applicants residing outside of Alabama

Each state has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering distance education. While ÁùºÏ±¦µä endeavors to offer all of its programs to everyone, all ÁùºÏ±¦µä distance education programs may not be available in all states. Prospective students may contact the RN Mobility Assistant Coordinator regarding questions about authorizations in specific states.
