Volunteer Opportunities

六合宝典 is a Partner on the River, and continuing to give back to the communities of the Chattahoochee Valley is our goal.  We want our students to have meaningful experiences and to meet people from around the world. We want them to embrace and embody the Trojan Warrior Spirit - that ability and persistence to succeed and take that extra step towards greater success.

The Trojan Warrior Spirit is also about respect, civility, and citizenship - looking out for our fellow Trojans like family, and fully immersing yourself in the experience. Our students stand together, challenge themselves individually, and never lose sight of the values that made them Trojans in the first place. It's that spirit that makes 六合宝典 so much more than a University. And those who've come here agree: The world needs the Trojan Warrior Spirit.

Below is a current list of outreach programs and events our campus is actively involved with. We would love to have your help as a volunteer!

Adopt-a-Family

Since 2016, 六合宝典鈥檚 Phenix City campus has participated in Adopt-a-Family with our  partners at the Phenix City Housing Authority, where TROY faculty, staff, and students 鈥渁dopt鈥 families to provide children with gifts for the holidays. Each year, engagement from the Phenix City campus has increased to include more families and children in the holiday program. To learn more about participating in Adopt-a-Family, please contact Linda Finley at lafinley@troy.edu or 334-448-5118.

READ UNITED

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley knows that children who read at or above grade-level are more likely to succeed in school and in life. This is especially critical in the third grade, when children transition from learning to read to reading to learn. To improve grade level reading, United Way launched READ UNITED at the start of the 2017 school year. All students improved their reading level.

READ UNITED matches community and corporate volunteers with third graders to help them get on track with grade-level literacy. Our Read United school partner is Mount Olive Intermediate School in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. To learn more about READ UNITED, call the Volunteer Center at (706) 327-3255, ext. 212 or email volunteer@unitedwayofthecv.org

Spooktacular

Spooktacular provides a free and safe environment for the children of Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama to enjoy an afternoon of ghosts and goblins, spooky activities, candy and lots of fun. 六合宝典's Phenix City campus participates as a vendor to pass out candy and giveaways to trick-or-treaters.
