TROY does not limit the number of credits you may transfer. However, residency requirements do exist for each degree program (Please see the Academic Regulations section of the appropriate undergraduate catalog). Therefore, in rare cases, additional credit may be required at TROY in order to meet this residency requirement.
The award of undergraduate transfer credit is based on established transfer credit guidelines established for our university, as well as the specific requirements of the student's chosen program of study. Transfer credit priority will be given to semester hours from regionally accredited institutions where graded credit was awarded.
To determine if your transfer institution(s) are regionally accredited, please visit . Upon institution lookup, the transfer institution must have been accredited during the time the credit in question was earned and must have been accredited by one of these regional accreditation agencies:
