is an international celebration of Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) technology each year on the third Wednesday of November.  The third week in November is also designated as . Here at ϱ, we take this time to help others learn about geography and the real-world applications of GIS that are making a difference in our society.  

In honor of GIS Day 2023, November 15, please join us at 1 p.m. for a GIS webinar entitled, “Giving the People What They Want: Huntsville's Approach to Making Spatial Data Accessible”. Nicholas Haney and Dana Keener with the will be sharing information about the City's GIS capabilities, and how their department makes spatial data available and accessible to the public. This webinar is free and open to everyone. . It should be of interest to students (both on-campus and online) and non-students alike.
