The “Sound of the South” Basketball Pep Band performs at all men's and women's home basketball games. Comprised of 30 musicians from all academic disciplines, the Basketball Pep Band entertains the home crowd with exciting jazz and rock arrangements and adds energy to the basketball games. The Basketball Pep Band travels with the men's and women's teams to the Sun Belt Tournaments, as well as the NCAA Tournament. All pep band members receive a work-study contract for participation the entire season. Membership in the band is by audition only, and it meets from November to April.
